If I’m not taking photos or cooking there’s a strong chance that I have a book open. Actually even when I’m cooking I’m reading, and a lot of my reading is on my iPad so that’s questionable at best.
I’ve always loved to read for as long as I remember. You can take books anywhere, you can travel the world while siting on your couch, and they aren’t that expensive.
For the most part I’ll give any book a chance, but I rarely declare a love for an author. I mostly read series because I get rather attached to the characters and one book is not nearly enough time with them, and I’m rather attached to Hercule Poirot. He’s quick, funny, and just sassy enough to keep the story going.
While they are all old stories and Agathas have been around forever I’m always shocked how many people haven’t given them a shot. You don’t even need to love mystery stories to appreciate these books. They’re so well written you won’t be able to put them down, like honestly, I’ve read them in the shower before.
Something about the weather cooling down a bit makes me want to light a candle, grab a blanket, and crack open a new one. And I just might!
What are your favorite books to read in the fall?
